About the Artist

Georgianna Willingham is a Baton Rouge born artist based in Nashville, Tennessee. Her work explores color, human emotion, and the beauty of the natural world. Growing up in the South, she was inspired by the vibrant summers, towering oak trees, and the rhythms of nature around her. From a young age, she was immersed in the arts through her parents, both artists themselves. She developed a love for figure drawing, photography, painting, collaging, etc,.while  learning to see the world through both an emotional and technical lens.

Willingham’s formal training began with AP art courses in high school, followed by studies at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and the New Orleans College of Fine Art, where she focused on painting, color theory, and figure studies. She has always been drawn to the human form, finding satisfaction in exploring curves and exaggerating figures in her work, while continually experimenting with color and composition.

Originally working in acrylics, she discovered the richness and vitality of oil paint, which has become central to her evolving style. Her work is inspired by the intersection of human emotion, the figure, and nature, exploring how color and form can evoke feeling and connection. Willingham has exhibited her work in Baton Rouge, including showings at interior design spaces, and has sold pieces locally, developing a practice that blends technical skill with emotional intuition. She is committed to a lifelong pursuit of exploration and creation, always pushing the boundaries of her artistic voice.
